DESCRIPTION FOR MODULE 2
This module provides learners with valuable technical knowledge about hydrogen’s unique properties, its typical production methods- including liquefaction and a basic understanding of the structure of atoms and elements and how they play a role in fuel cell and electrolyser operation. This module is part 2 of 7 parts of the A TECHNICAL INTRODUCTION TO HYDROGEN & HYDROGEN SYSTEMS course.

- Hydrogen properties
- Common methods of hydrogen production
- The basics of atoms and elements
- The bonds that occur between elements
- The role of anions and cations in electrolysis and fuel cells.
ESTIMATED TIME TO COMPLETE – 3 HOURS
While not critical, it is recommended that all learners complete the BASIC PRINCIPLES OF HYDROGEN SAFETY module before commencing this module and modules 3, 5, 6 & 7.
